Fabulous Fall Coffee Table

It’s fall, y’all!  To kick off the season, I wanted to do a fun tablescape for my coffee table.  I love neutral colored pumpkins, but since they are not even selling any shade of real deal pumpkin yet down here in south Georgia, I decided to get creative and chalk paint some cheap pumpkins I got at Wal-Mart!

I love the Waverly collection of chalk paint.  It does a great job and is a lot less expensive than some other brands.  I used the colors: Ivory, Pool, Mineral, and Celery.

Here are the cheap plastic pumpkins before:

I painted them using a foam brush.  I mixed the Pool with a little Ivory and Mineral to create a nice grayish-blue shade.  I also mixed the Celery with Ivory and Mineral to create a neutral green.  It did take more than one coat, but it went pretty fast!

When the paint was dry, I put the pumpkins in a pretty wicker basket along with some hydrangea stems and fall foliage that I purchased from Hobby Lobby and some pine cones, which I got for free from my backyard.

Here is the finished product.  I love the way it turned out!
