Last weekend, I took a quick trip to Atlanta. My little brother is a huge Georgia Tech football fan, so my family went up to watch the game. Since it was a night game, we decided to check out the Atlanta Botanical Garden that morning. I had never been before and always wanted to go. I wanted to share some of the highlights.
We first went to the Fuqua Orchid Center. It took my breath away. I’ve always admired orchids, but I am now officially in love. They are magnificent!
There were other beautiful flowers in bloom throughout the garden.
This cute dog is made of grasses!
The Earth Goddess is a highlight of the garden. She is made of metal and covered with in-season plants. In the spring, I read that she is covered with pink flowers.
I am already planning a trip to come back in the spring with my girls. If I lived close enough, I would visit during each season to see how the garden changes. I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend a trip if you’ve never been before.
The Georgia Tech game was also wonderful. They played against Wake Forest. It was a nail-biter, but GT came out on top!
